In preparation for Valentines Day on the 14th of February you are invited to participate in three exciting workshops to sharpen your burlesque and seduction skills.

Learn routines and styles to impress that special someone or just get a group of your friends together to have a fun day out! (ladies only please)

Each workshop is 1 hour. Includes a warm up, lessons in movement, a routine, cool down and photo time for you and your friends.

The workshops are instructed by Virtue van Tassel, who has over a decade in dance experience in assorted styles including burlesque, striptease, ballet, tap, jazz, chorus line and pole.

Details: Workshops are $20 +bf each per person, or come to all three and pay only $50 +bf for three hours of tuition!

3.00pm Workshop 1: Floor and Chair
Learn the art of an appealing chair and floorwork routine for that special someone. Wear something sexy that you can move in.
Slinky music and sleek moves will have you in control and your partner in anticipation!

4.00pm Workshop 2: Striptease and Lapdance
It's getting hot in here! Learn how to peel like a professional and have your audience begging for more. Bring along three pieces of clothing to practice taking off over your day wear.

5.00 pm Workshop 3: Tassel Twirling
Learn the essential burlesque art of Tassel Twirling! Make them swing to the right, to the left and in different directions. You can bring your own pasties with tassels, borrow our hire pasties or purchase your very own from Drama Queen Emporium for an additional $30 (cash only).
RSVP is essential. Double sided tape for attaching pasties provided.

The details:
There are no maximum or minimum guest numbers. Price is $35 per person (minimum $200). No fee for the guest of honour for groups over 15 people. A deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking. Cancellations within 7 days of booked date result in a $100 cancellation fee. Refunds are not available for guests who do not attend on the day.

Atrocity is the latest offering from the talented cast of the Burlesque Bar as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. A full throttle roller coaster ride of emotions takes you through extremes of fear, horror, disgust and humility while exploring it's theme- Beauty. Truth. Horror.

Bar residents Madame Natalia, Miss Nic and Scarlet are lead by Anton De Lorde and the show features new comer, Dominic Bradbury.

Patrons are seated theatre style before the famous checkerboard stage and the show begins with the three female characters, Forma, Veritas and Atrocitus silently entering through the crowd.

Chapters of Atrocity include references to current and historical social culture. Although morally challenging, the exposure of these themes through the medium of Burlesque is refreshing in the current Melbourne burlesque scene.

It's with great sorrow that we say goodbye to the Queen of Burlesque, Sarah Lea Cheesecake.

After seven years in the spotlight, the burlesque beauty has announced her retirement from the stage to embark on her new career in make up artistry.

Sarah bid her fans a final farewell at Red Door Burlesque on 29 August 2010 with her signature rope act. The audience cheered on as Sarah perfectly executed the best performance of her career.

We were lucky enough to capture the performance to share with all of her fans. You can watch the video here.
